Mervielde builds new office building at logistics site in North Sea Port

A brand-new office building is currently under construction at Mervielde Terminal, our logistics site on Kuhlmannlaan in Ghent (North Sea Port). With a floor area of 432 m² and three floors, the building will soon house modern offices, meeting rooms and a functional laboratory. It will become the site's new administrative centre.

A key design element is the canopy over the weighbridge. It will protect drivers and operators from adverse weather conditions such as rain, wind or sun. From the first-floor platform, samples can be taken efficiently and safely. Safety and working comfort are paramount.

With this project, we are centralizing our administrative operations at the site and innovatively integrating the laboratory function into our daily logistics activities.

Construction is in full swing and we aim to have the building operational by January 2026. We look forward to sharing our journey with you in the next few weeks.
